The latest addition to the Proton stable in South Africa is much more than a facelift, it’s a full body make over! It is the new Proton Persona Elegance. From the all-new front-end to the rear bumper the Persona Elegance exudes an air of class, comfort and sophistication. The boldly stitched leather interior and leather clad steering wheel, gear knob and door panels give the interior a classy finish. Both the 5 speed manual and four speed automatic Persona Elegance are powered by Proton’s own 1.6 dohc CAMPRO engine. The array of executive sedan features in the Persona Elegance are all standard. From the CD/MP3 integrated sound system to the steering wheel controls, full electrics to park distance control(rear). The Persona Elegance features a cavernous 430litre boot and 60:40 split fold-down rear seats. The advantage of having legendary racing car company Lotus to call on ensures that the ride and handling of the Persona Elegance is stable, consistent and responsive, making it exciting to drive.  Safety is a priority at Proton and the Persona Elegance demonstrates this. ABS brakes with EBD, Seatbelts with pre-tensioners and load limiters combined with SRS airbags for driver and front passenger are all standard. The Persona Elegance passenger safety cell is protected, front and rear, with crumple zones and engine defection whilst side impact beams protect occupants from both sides. The Persona Elegance is available in a range of tasteful colours; classic white, genetic silver, brilliant red, tranquility black and grey.
